Client:
Role:
Mewatch Upload is a content upload platform that allows vendors and content creators to upload content assets for digital VOD broadcast.

Mewatch Channel
I want to transform a blind upload process into an intuitive experience.
FRICTION
The platform does not provide feedback on incorrect upload inputs, and intuitively guides users to confirm the status of their file upload.
MAIN ISSUE
Asset Upload: Users are not aware of the upload requirements from the start.
Asset Confirmation: The system does not direct the user to the upload history page to confirm a successful upload.
WHY IT MATTERS
It stresses the user at both the start and end of the upload process, which would increase the time spent on the upload task and the likelihood of resubmissions.

Upload History
How can users be informed that the required file specifications have been met and that the file has been uploaded securely?
OBJECTIVE
Redesign the upload process to inform users of the approved file specifications and redirect them to the upload history page for upload confirmation.
CORE GOALS
1. Refresh the login experience with clear instructions.
2. Provide a clear start-to-end asset upload process.

Core Features
Login
Clear visual instructions guiding users through their login details and Google Authenticator for verification.
Asset Upload Requirements
Users are briefed on the approved file specification before proceeding with their asset uploads.
Asset Upload Confirmation
Users can quickly view their recent or previous uploads via ‘History’, all under 1 asset type.
Password Change
Users can now update their passwords using a built-in smart feature.
WHY THIS SOLUTION
Users will now know the asset upload requirements from the start and be assured of the status of their uploads at the end.
TRADE OFF
The platform's core functionalities were mobile-optimised first, to understand the essential features needed for the platform to still perform without the frills and visuals. This decision would not serve the current user base until the desktop-optimised version is rolled out.
TO BE IMPROVED
Given the discovery of this mobile-optimised prototype, implementing a functional mobile service would support expansion and reach more users in an increasingly mobile-centric content-creation space.
SUMMARY
Mewatch Upload was a platform I accessed when I worked in operations at Cinemaworld. I had to upload relevant assets to Mewatch for broadcast, and the experience was always frustrating, especially during the asset upload and confirmation process. This project was a self-initiated challenge to reimagine a modern approach to addressing the platform's pain points.
